Shira Benson, R.N.
Clinic ManagerShira brings over 25 years experience in women’s health and reproductive medicine to her role as clinic manager at First Steps Fertility. She has previously held senior-level positions with the Cleveland Clinic, ISIS Regional Fertility Centre, and Women’s College Hospital.
She is also well recognized within the field of fertility for serving in leadership positions on advisory boards and developing education programs for the Canadian Fertility Andrology Society (CFAS). In addition, she has given presentations to both the CFAS and American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
Shira offers a wealth of knowledge, as well as a caring attitude to our patients.
Melanie Mitchell-Ng RN
Melanie earned her Nursing Diploma from Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology in 1998, and has been registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario since January 1999. Since that time her nursing experience has been quite varied. Early on in her career she cared for patients in hospital (ANU, Surgical / Medical & Day Surgery).
Melanie has specialized in Reproductive Health since September 2000, with a focus on the care of patients dealing with infertility since July 2006.
Tatiana Mantescu RPN
Tatiana graduated from a Romanian nursing college obtaining her RN diploma in June 1994. She specialized in cardiology early on in her career. Upon moving to Canada, Tatiana attended college to obtain her Ontario nursing license.
Tatiana has been registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario since December 2006. Tatiana has worked in IVF since February 2006, preparing patients, assisting with procedures and caring for patients in recovery. She joined the First Steps Fertility team in February 2007 and now directs her care to the attention of patients facing infertility.
